Terms governing all laboratory work undertaken by C & H Dental Laboratory.
All work is carried out to the specification provided by the prescribing dentist. It is the responsibility of the clinician to provide accurate prescriptions, impressions, and scan data. C & H Dental Laboratory will manufacture restorations and appliances in accordance with the instructions received.
If insufficient information is provided, we will contact the practice before proceeding. Any amendments or design changes requested after manufacture has begun may incur additional charges.
By fitting any restoration or appliance — including temporarily — the prescribing dentist confirms that the item meets the agreed specification and is suitable for use. Full charges apply from the point of fitting.
All physical impressions and models received by the laboratory must be disinfected prior to dispatch. C & H Dental Laboratory will disinfect all incoming physical work on receipt as a standard precaution but cannot accept liability for inadequately disinfected items.
All outgoing work is cleaned before dispatch but is not supplied in a sterile state. It is the responsibility of the dental practice to sterilise all restorations and appliances before fitting in the patient's mouth, in accordance with HTM 01-05 guidelines.
Work may be cancelled at any time before manufacture has begun at no charge. Once manufacturing has commenced, cancellation charges may apply. For bespoke or complex cases, we will confirm before commencing work.
If a restoration or appliance does not meet the agreed specification, C & H Dental Laboratory will remake the item at no additional charge, subject to the following conditions:
Remakes due to changes in the clinical specification, patient dissatisfaction with an approved design, or damage during fitting are not covered and will be charged at the standard rate.
Standard turnaround is 10 working days from receipt of the case (including impressions, scans, and a complete prescription). Express service is available on request — contact us to discuss timescales and any additional charges.
Turnaround times are estimates and may vary during peak periods. We will notify the practice of any expected delays.
Where a remake is required due to a laboratory error, C & H Dental Laboratory will prioritise the case and manufacture a replacement at no charge. The original item must be returned for inspection.
Remakes are subject to the same turnaround times unless otherwise agreed.
An extended 5-year warranty is available on selected fixed restorations. Please enquire at the time of ordering for eligibility and terms.
Warranties do not cover:
To make a warranty claim, contact C & H Dental Laboratory and return the restoration or appliance for assessment. We will inspect the item and, if the failure is due to a manufacturing defect, provide a replacement at no charge.
The replacement item will carry a new warranty of the same duration from the date of the replacement fit.
